PRAYER FOR BODY FITNESS AND WEIGHT LOSS
Be not anxious for what you shall eat, or what you shall drink or what you shall wear. Isn't life more than food? and the body more than clothing? Luke 12:22; 29
A human does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit therefore, glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20
I pray, in Jesus Christ's name, that the full power of God's motivation is in and through me, giving me signals, in human mind, to exercise, first, every day.
I will tone my body and eat in a fashion that rebuilds my body under the Divine blueprint of perfection. I pray that there are new cravings, and the cravings are to move and exert myself, and to eat foods that give my body energy at the cellular level. May the foods I eat store vitality, instead of fatigue and fat.
I pray for a group of friends that will influence me, in positive ways, towards exercise and new eating habits. I pray that they participate with me, giving me companionship along the new road that I have chosen to travel. I pray that we exercise and stretch ourselves, physically, daily.
I pray that, every day, during the first part of the day, I exercise for at least a half an hour to an hour. I find my new activity of exercise fun. I enjoy what is happening to my body and mind. I find that as I eat and exercise appropriately, these acts are pure fuel for my self-esteem.
Daily, I am getting better and better. Daily, I am getting stronger and stronger.
I have great courage as I go towards my weight loss and toning goals. My lifestyle is no longer sedentary. My lifestyle is filled with movement and I find that I have new strength and energy, hourly. My body exerts itself, more and more. I think of exercise before food, and no longer need long periods of rest to recover.
God, constantly, reminds me of what I can become. I am going towards the best shape of my life. I am fit and well.
People want to help me because I want to help myself. I am constantly searching and finding new ways to move my body. I believe in my body and what it is able to accomplish. Dramatic change happens. Nothing is impossible to me, because God is empowering me.
My body image, held within my mind, is toned, fit, and able. With God, there is nothing I cannot accomplish. My body is the Temple of the living God.
I tone myself into strength and perfection. I believe in my mind and in the power of my own accomplishment, I no longer believe in self-failure. I do not look at the path ahead of me as long but, instead, as an adventure in accomplishment. With every milepost gained, I have the satisfaction of victory. There are no plateaus on the road ahead, only clear sailing, because I pray it is so.
The victories of accomplishment are of God and me. God is my exercise partner. I do what is possible and God does the rest, working from center to circumference in me, safely speeding up my metabolism and rebuilding my muscle.
There is a regeneration happening in my body Temple. Sweets no longer have a hold over me; my appetite is for greens and vegetables. My taste buds are changing, and I am feeling great satisfaction from the healthy foods that I eat.
My body is youthening. The power in my body is increasing during the day. I am alive in every cell and muscle with God life; its strength and energy is greater than anything that I have known.
Daily, I am becoming stronger and leaner. My body moves without soreness or pain. I am no longer winded but filled with the breath of life of God. I do not tire but I rest, easily. I do not struggle, for I find that exercise comes easily. I have a newfound, God-given talent.
From the wellspring, within me, I am alive with God life. My body is exhibiting a consciousness that is decades younger. I am no longer the age on my birth certificate, but rather the concept that I project to myself.
Daily, I give to myself, by donating time to do the things that ought to be done by me, to keep my body fit and trim. I no longer desire fast food with its fatty content, but, instead, I enjoy slow food that fuels my body for longer periods of time. I look for food prepared in healthy ways with healthy ingredients. Just as I would not put sugar in the gas tank of my car, I now choose to think of my stomach as the gas tank of my life. Everything that I eat gives me a pickup, in energy and long-term vitality.
My mood is great; my mood is governed by the Christ. God gives me an ability to leap over obstacles that would have stopped me in my exercise regime, before. I find that God gives me a timed-released motivation.
The greatest obstacles of my former self do not hold me back, because God pulls me along to victory. Bad habits are exchanged for good. I have a vision in my mind of the new me, and I now move towards that vision, with God's continuous help. I am filled with God-given desire of complete fulfillment.
in Jesus Christ's name, Amen
EMPOWERED BY GOD FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND BODY FITNESS
I decree in Jesus Christ's name that I am empowered by God, today, to guide my eating decisions and regulate my body temple so that unwanted unneeded weight rapidly falls off me. God regulates the speed with which I chew and digest. I slow down, and I enjoy every bite.
God regulates and adjusts my metabolism. My metabolism is now Divinely regulated by God. My metabolism speeds up when it needs to burn the extra calories that I do need. God gives me great discipline in mind and body. I have Divine willpower to eat the foods that will truly feed my body and make it look and feel younger.
I am anointed with extra motivation to move my body and to exercise. God gives me the discipline to exercise daily. God changes my mind towards exercise and allows me to fall in love with it. I now see exercise as a reward. I look forward to my times of exercise and movement. God shows me how to totally change my lifestyle turning off the television getting up from my chair and getting into movement with life. God fills my body with the extra energy needed to move and keep moving.
Every day I have increased energy and well being. My body is toned and fit because it is the temple of the living God. My body is attractive to me and to all others. I consent right now to God Divinely adjusting my body so that the right percentages of muscle and fats exist in my body. My body is defined as lean and healthy. I see my body image as toned and fit.
The touch of God and God's intervention is upon my problem areas adjusting and reshaping into perfection. The reconstruction, rebuilding and regeneration are under the direction of my original creator. I exercise and God also exercises within me bringing great results faster than humanly possible. Every move is multiplied by the Quantum power of God in its ability to tone me and reduce the excess pounds that I no longer choose to carry.
My body carries a perfect weight and my heart and lungs relax under the lightened load. My heart is never overworked and my lungs breathe the breath of God. I breathe easily and I move with great energy and vitality. I am never out of breath. My energy is without limits. I do not fatigue because my energy is from God. As God increases the movement of my body and God Divinely adjusts my equilibrium, I feel wellness like a child. My blood sugar is always stable.
My mood is always uplifted and joyous. I have only one mood swing and that is towards God and God's good. As I reduce my calorie intake I think clearly and act wisely. In the mirror every day I joyously see the effects of God's stable, safe weight loss program. My body not only loses weight, it youthens. I have great muscle tone and the ability to do things that I have not done in decades.
Nothing is impossible to me, or to my body, because my creator is re-creating me under the Divine blueprint of perfection. I hold in my mind an image of my body as beautiful and perfect. I like my body. I like what my body can do for me. I choose not to abuse my body through excess calories or any addictive habits. I am motivated to adjust the way that I eat and I have a new desire for green vegetables and salads. I feed my body with solid building protein. I am motivated to eliminate empty calories that feed only fat. The food that I feed myself, feeds me, energizes me and maintains my new beautiful body image. I am free from addiction to desserts. Chocolate and sugar have no power over me. I am motivated to take walks, bicycle rides, or to go to the gym every day. I get out and I move this body that God has given me. I agree to movement of my body and God gives me the power to move it. I bless every bite of food, before I eat it, knowing that my body will take what it needs and eliminate the rest from my system without doing harm to my system.
In Jesus Christ's name ... RIGHT NOW, Amen!
Weight Loss Prayer
"There is no tomorrow - tomorrow is a disease."
Dear God, I pray that just for today I will have the willpower to begin anew. I begin to record, by writing down, everything I eat. I eat greens, and salads, during the day. I take fiber supplements to make me feel full. I increase my activity levels. I write down everything, and I view what I write as a reward. I realize one day at a time I can achieve my goals of a lean body, new energy and vitality. I see the larger picture this day's activity, times 365. I see myself as thin. I hold a mental image of the new body. I pray that my body will change craving only healthy foods, and healthy activity. I pray that I will seek and find, support at the local gym, Weight Watchers, or similar activities, with similar people, achieving lifelong success. I will not allow my mind to accept that overweight is the way I will always be. I ask God to help me find a new anchor - anchoring my body image to lean vitality. I ask God to change me so that I will no longer dread physical activity, but look forward to, and get great enjoyment and satisfaction from movement. One day's success thrills me to go on to the next day. I do not look forward to cheating on my diet. I have God's help to change my mind so that I can get the satisfaction out of a salad that I used to get out of the desert. God created me in nine months time, and can re-create me in nine months time. I do not live to eat, I eat to live. I have God's help to permanently reinvent myself. I am not yesterday's person. I realize that I cannot do this alone - that I need God's help, and I need the help of like-minded people on the same permanent weight loss path. I plan my social events differently so that they are not around food, or at least, not the food of the past. I more awake, more energetic, more youthful, I no longer have SUGAR crashes. My blood sugar is normal, my mood is peaceful. With God's help I take off decades that have been piled on. I seek new rewards in life. I do not treat myself with treats, I treat myself with added energy, and playful activity. My new fast food becomes vegetables than I bring with me, low sugar protein bars, and things to fill me up and keep me satisfied beyond just the temporal. More than just filling me up - but fueling my body and mind to do the things that ought to be done by me. I replace desserts with vitamins.
I feed the cells of my body with new nutritional life. I pray that friends and family that are into the old lifestyle accept my new lifestyle and will support me as I change for the better. I pray that I am protected from those that want me to eat something that I shouldn't. I pray that I have strength keeping me from those, encouraging me to take one extra helping and extra dessert. I pray that no one discourages me, and I pray that I do not get discouraged. I do not get discouraged when I hit a plateau. I keep going in full realization of the healthy change that is coming. Remind me constantly God, that one binge, could throw me back permanently into the old lifestyle - if I let it. I have been weak before, I ask You to give me new strength. I know that my body can quickly forget, and my human mind can quickly become unmotivated. Within hours, I can become the old me again, as I have countless times before. I ask You to constantly remind me, showing me the mental image of the new me I am becoming. Spiritually encourage me towards the youthful vitality lifestyle. I pray, that I remember to pray often, about my eating, about my success, and about my nutritional choices. As the weight falls off, I get rid of the bigger clothes in my closet. I no longer have a closet like a clothing shop of different sizes. I no longer need the larger sizes. I look forward to new clothes shopping in areas not marked big and tall. I thank God for the thrill of buying the smaller sizes. Like any addiction, every day that I have success I mark it off on the calendar with a big red X and I will not break the chain. I will look at this chain that I make with great satisfaction of accomplishment. And as my body changes, the cravings become less daily, making my eating patterns much easier to maintain.
I look forward - I do not look backward. I see in my mind's eye the person that I seek to be - that I am becoming - that I will always be with Your help dear God. In Jesus Christ's name... Amen
Show Me the Path
Dear God, I admit that I have come to both love
and hate the word "diet."
On the one hand, it represents hope for change.
On the other, it's like a sign flashing "Failure ahead!"
I don't want to embark on another faulty plan, Lord.
I want to embark on a lifelong journey with You
that is led by You and depends on Your power.
I can do nothing on my own!
Show me the path that will enable me to change.
Show me, as only You can,
what works for me, what is healthy for me.
I want to think of this venture in positive terms, dear God,
not that I am signing up to be miserable or in want.
I want to learn to feed my body what it truly needs when it truly needs it.
And to feed my soul with the Bread of Life - You!
Today I place my future, my failures, my setbacks,
all of my hopes and plans into Your hands.
There alone will I find meaning
and true success in my life.
Amen.
I Praise You for My Body
Dear God, As You know, some days I wish
I looked different than I do.
How good it is to be reminded, dear God,
that You had me-exactly this me-
in mind long before I came to exist!
So today I present myself to You
with a grateful heart.
Help me to be a good steward of my body.
Because You designed it,
I want to celebrate, nurture, and respect it.
By Your power at work in me,
I praise You for every molecule, gene, and freckle!
Amen.
Show Me How to Measure My Body
Dear God, Help me today to care as much
about my heart's "weight"
as I do about my body's weight.
Thank You that because Your scales never lie
and Your bottom line is always love,
I can stand before You with confidence
no matter how "good" or "bad" I've been lately.
Show me how to truthfully measure
the progress of both my soul
and my body.
For I know that the one
will someday pass away,
while the other will matter forever.
In Jesus Christ name, Amen.
Teach Me Self Control
Dear God, Your Word teaches that when we truly experience Your saving grace,
we find the power to say no to wasteful passions
and to live self-controlled and productive lives.
But how much I need Your help
to overcome my laziness and self-deception.
Teach me and change me, Lord.
I want to become more self-controlled.
Today it seems that self-indulgence is the drug of choice on every corner.
But I don't want my appetites to dominate my life!
You promise to live powerfully through me
so that I might love You and serve others.
Now show me how to build the walls of self-control and restraint around my life.
I relinquish my rebellious will, which robs me
of the self-control You want me to choose.
Thank You for helping me today.
In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
Daily Diet Prayer
I come to You in the name of Jesus asking for wisdom to take care of myself so that I may glorify You in my body and my spirit (1 Corinthians 6:20). Dear God, Give me the desire to choose foods that bring energy and vitality to my body and clarity to my mind. Give me enthusiasm to exercise so that I may strengthen my body and have the energy to do the things I need to do. Most of all, dear God, give me wisdom to put You first in my life because You have said that if I seek first Your kingdom and all its righteousness, my needs will be taken care of. Thank you, God, for giving me the gift of abundant power over my food desires and wisdom for proper nutritional choices today. Amen.
A Prayer to Lose Weight
Guide me dear God, as I strive to lose weight You are my light and my anchor, and with You I know all things are possible.
Help me this day to make healthy choices and give me the strength to fight against destructive cravings that negatively effect my health.
You said, "The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
As I bow before you today, raise me up help me towards my weight loss goals.
I have been taught that anything that replaces God is an idol.
Help me to reject any unhealthy habit in which I seek false comfort.
For You are my one true comfort and strength.
In Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.
A Prayer for God's Help
Dear God, I need Your help in losing weight.
I've tried to lose weight before and each time I failed or gained it back.
I am learning that my thoughts create my experiences.
If I did not lose the weight before, then some part of my mind was not quite finished with it.
Perhaps I kept it as a protective barrier or maybe I used it to punish myself.
Whatever the reasons are, I am done with it now.
I am willing to love myself completely and make healthy, lasting choices when it comes to my eating and daily exercise.
I call upon Your power and strength to help me.
Please give me the energy and motivation I need to exercise daily.
I will pause before eating and ask You for the highest choice on my behalf.
Before eating, I bless my food - choices - guided by You.
Thank You for easing my cravings and helping me make healthy choices to ensure my long-term success.
With Your certainty, I can do anything.
Thy Will, not mine, be done.
Amen
