The 23rd Psalm:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want

God makes me to lie down in green pastures:

God leadeth me beside the still waters.

God restores my soul: God leadeth me in the paths of righteousness of God's name sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Our Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,

John 17:21

At his last supper with his disciples Jesus prayed a prayer for all to have unity of faith: "That they may all be one; even as Thou, God, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me."

Psalm 107:28-30

A Prayer for Guidance and Protection

1 To you, O Lord, I offer my prayer;

2 in you, my God, I trust. Save me from the shame of defeat; don't let my enemies gloat over me!

3 Defeat does not come to those who trust in you, but to those who are quick to rebel against you.

4 Teach me your ways, O Lord; make them known to me.

5 Teach me to live according to your truth, for you are my God, who saves me. I always trust in you.

6 Remember, O Lord, your kindness and constant love which you have shown from long ago.

7 Forgive the sins and errors of my youth. In your constant love and goodness, remember me, Lord!

8 Because the Lord is righteous and good, he teaches sinners the path they should follow.

9 He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will.

10 With faithfulness and love he leads all who keep his covenant and obey his commands.

11 Keep your promise, Lord, and forgive my sins, for they are many.

12 Those who have reverence for the Lord will learn from him the path they should follow.

14 The Lord is the friend of those who obey him and he affirms his covenant with them.

18 Consider my distress and suffering and forgive all my sins.

19 See how many enemies I have; see how much they hate me.

21 May my goodness and honesty preserve me, because I trust in you.

10 days of prayer

Prayer Times: 10 - 2 - 4 - focus on the power, and the meaning, of the daily Bible verse in prayer.

Day 1. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge God, and God will direct your path."Proverbs 3:5-6Learn something every day. If you only lean on your own knowledge, you will not be able to grow. You must grow yourself to grow your life.

Day 2. "Behold, I am doing something new! It's already happening; don't you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land." Isaiah 43:19 Sometimes you will need to move as conditions pull you in a different direction. You might need to reinvent your life, and you should not be afraid. God's always got your back.

Day 3. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 There will be things that you really need that you will not win. There will be days when you drop the ball, but you cannot let that define you. You will get another opportunity - God is with you always. God is a God of second chances.

Day 4. "Faith without works is dead."James 2:26 You can't just pray for success. Develop a plan andworkyour plan. If you can do something about your situation, then do it. Stop making excuses, stop procrastinating, and do it!

Day 5. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."Philippians 4:6(NIV)One of the most important things you can do for your life is to pray EVERY day in thanksgiving and gratitude.

Day 6. "As I think in my heart, so am I." Proverbs 23:7 Your thoughts can be your number #1asset, or your biggest liability. When you are alone in your office or back bedroom, your thoughts can easily turn on you. Your ability to stay positive, learn from all experiences and shake off mistakes quickly will be a big asset to your life. Pray to be more positive now.

Day 7. "God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 Making decisions in your life based on fear is never helpful. For that matter making decisions in anger is not good either. Try hard not to be reactionary with others. Use factual information and up-to date faith to make sound decisions.

Day 8. "But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day." Habakkuk 2:3 You need to understand that God's time is not your time. There may come a time in your life when you just know you have something you have dreamed about, one that you really need and things may fall through. Those are the times when you need to trust in God the most. Accept God's timing, learn to live in hope, and enjoy your life, while God works on your problems.

Day 9. "Happy is the person who finds wisdom, and the person who gains understanding;" Proverbs 3:13Be a lifelong learner in life. You should constantly seek to improve yourself and increase your knowledge. Always seek wisdom from God.

Day 10. "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Psalms 103: 1-22

Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless God's holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all God's benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. God made known his ways to Moses, God's acts to the people of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. God will not always chide, nor will God keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is God's steadfast love toward those who respect God; as far as the east is from the west, so far does God remove our transgressions from us.
