John 16:24 Are you one of those fortunate people possessing a naturally happy disposition? If you are, you are truly God blessed. Or, do you consider yourself an average person with good days and not so good days? Perhaps you may even fall into the category of the moody person: one who gets occasional periods of depression for no particular reason. Whether there is a particular reason for feeling that joy has deserted you for the moment, or whether you recognize your down feelings as a mood, there is something you can do about it. You can be lifted out of depressed feelings, but you must put forth some effort of your own. This entails an act of will. It helps to think of all the positive affirmations of joy and enthusiasm you can call to mind and say them over and over. This routine is guaranteed to bring results. Why? Because by thinking in terms of joy you stir up the spirit of joy in you which is inherent from God. Positive affirmations of joy -- Today I am filled with God’s spirit of joy. God's presence with me, is the open door to invigorating life and permanent joy. My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in the power of God to make all things right. I am filled with the joy of the Lord. I am calm and poised in God's joy, God's good is magnified and multiplied in my life. The living Christ quickens my mind and heart. I know that Divine joy radiating through me attracts only good into my life. I am joyful because the Christ Spirit in me is mightier than any circumstance in my life. Jesus Christ is here now, raising me to His consciousness of peace and joy. The joy of Almighty God is quickened within me. I am aglow with the joy of the Christ. God's joy blesses me and everyone in my world. God's quickening, vitalizing Spirit illumines my mind and opens my eyes, and I see. My eyes are healed, and my vision is clear to see the good of God all around me. I bask in God's wonder and absolute joy. Praise God The joy of the Lord is my strength. Remember the five simple rules to be joyful: 1. Free your heart from hatred. 2. Free your mind from worry. 3. Live simply. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less. POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER: MANY THINGS TO BE HAPPY ABOUT Dear God, I am happy because I am me, right now, right like I am. I am happy because I know You, God, are connected with me and You are my current of life and source of happiness. I am happy because my life is filled with wonderful people – people I love, people I have faith in, people I enjoy, people I am at ease with. I am happy, God, because I know I have much to give and I have much to receive. I am happy, God, because I know my life, right now, is ever new, ever satisfying, and ever productive. I am fulfilled in happiness, God, because I know I will express my higher self, the Christ, the Spirit of God within me as I find and complete Your joy. Through the Christ indwelling me, I am capable of happiness. This truly is the day the Lord has made, and I give thanks for this day. I find my happiness in this moment.
