The fourth of July is a special day for those of us who call the United States of America our home, a day in which we give thanks for independence and freedom. This can be a day to declare our freedom individually from limiting beliefs or conditions. If a lack of light and understanding binds us, we can let the light of God in. We can find understanding that enlarges our capacities and the self-imposing limitations of our individual world. If a lack of health or strength limits our life, we can let in the light of God which reveals to us ever renewing life that we are meant to express. We need not be limited, we are meant to be vitally, completely, fully alive. Feeling rich and prosperous comes naturally when we know our freedom in Christ. We know that we are wealthy when we realize that we are heirs to God’s good and that we live in God’s freedom. Look around you today. Let the beauty fill you with thankfulness. Let our possibilities free you from any feeling of limitation. What is our declaration today as a group of people gathered in this electronic household of faith? On a statue in the nation’s Capital you read these words: "What is past is prologue". Far greater wonders are in store for our nation than almost anyone has dared dream. As God’s followers, we know that our time has come to be actively involved in the spiritual advent of almost unbelievable accomplishments for the greater good of ALL humanity. Today we are decreeing our declaration of independence over fearful thoughts. We do not empower them anymore. We are here to say, "I believe in God. I know that God is with me, and I refuse, from this day forward, to be afraid in anyway. No matter what faces me, no matter what I have to go through, I will not go through it alone. I will go through it with God." In God we trust! POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER: Dear God, help me to be a citizen in something bigger than just myself. Show me the value of myself so that I can make a positive contribution. Work through me so that I can make my nation and my world a better place. Show me the way to make a difference. Give me the energy, will, and motivation to follow through. Help me to make my light shine to light the way for others trying to find their way.
