That's when we need comfort that reaches into our aching hearts and longing souls with a tremendous reassurance and love that only God can give. Such comfort comes directly from God to us. The love of God moves around us and within us, and within the situation and people in our lives. God's comfort is deep and lasting. God's comfort is profound in its complexity to take away pain. God replaces our pain with soothing warmth of caring. Divine comfort lights our way out of any darkness into the light of life once again. We are fortified so that we can never feel as if we must give up or give in. As we let God comfort us, our resolve, strength, and faith build to an incredible proportion inside of us. As God comforts us, we grow ever stronger and wiser. In the midst of depression or despair, our loving God stands ready to provide the security and solace for which our soul cries out as we turn to God in prayer. Our loving Lord comforts us continually day and night until we are healed completely. In prayer we give to our loving God every disappointment, every fear, every feeling of loss. When we go into prayer seeking comfort, we hold nothing back. Let go of any feeling of pain or grief and allow it to be released into the warmth of our loving Lord’s supporting presence. The response from our loving God is immediate and all encompassing, mending our hearts and uplifting our spirits. My dear friend, if you hurt in any way because of loss, you can trust your loving God to be with you through any change, time of uncertainty, or confusion. Your loving God is a stable, steady presence in your life. God is your anchor and your support. As you look to your loving God for help, you are enfolded in peace and understanding. As you look to God for help, you are comforted and guided through life's changes with love and reassurance. Even when you do not feel you can go on, there is something prodding you and pulling you from within. You discover that not only do you go on, but you live to rediscover happiness and undreamed-of opportunity given to you as your special gift from God.
