The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is now for current reading.” Edith Lovejoy Pierce New Year’s is a time of resolution to do things better. It is a time to commit to reinventing our life. It is a time to resolve to revise, and update our methods and ways. We all remember the famous song from The Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy sings “Lions and tigers and bears, OH-MY!” In the jungle, it’s not the lions and tigers that get you – it’s the gnats! In your own life the lions and tigers are all those things you are fearing in your outer life, now, and in 2020. They may be there, and they may be a problem. I imagine everyone reading this has a problem of some kind; everyone has something that she, or he is facing. Your problem is not going to get you. It doesn’t have the power to get you. It’s the gnats inside your mind, your resistance to that problem, your worry, your anxiety, your fear about your problem – that’s what will get you. There is nothing in your life that has power over you unless you decide to let it into your human mind. Then it has power to temporarily rob your peace. The measure of success in your life is not whether you have the tough problem to deal with, but whether it’s the same problem you had last year. I pray that it isn’t. If you’re allowing God to flow through your mind and life— that is the silent peaceful power that can help in every circumstance. The saddest thing in my life is when I meet people that I haven’t seen for years, and years and they are still dealing with the same exact type of problems as decades before. I have reinvented myself many times, and so must you. Positive Christianity is practicing Christianity. We encourage you to go to the church of your choice; we know that the most important thing is that you do go. It is our joyous job to share with you some insights based on the life, and teachings of Jesus Christ so that you can make your life better every day, and every week. A great life is not built on the big things, but on the tiny little daily victories that add up to mountains of success, and happiness. God goes ahead of you on your path to prepare the way for unbelievable good success and happiness. You have a whole new life ahead of you. What are you going to invent new in your own life in 2020? Is your life going to be in a continuing slump of yesterday, or on the meteoric rise caused by new spiritual awareness? Is it going to be in a down period, or is this moment going to be the turning point for you climb up, and out, and stay up, and out forever? Why not live all of 2020 as a spiritual experiment to sense and feel the new power that is accessible and available to you to see what could happen in your life if you make God your partner. So many people are committing to doing this for 2020. It’s exciting to hear from the people that have committed to this in the past, and how it has turned their lives around. It is important to examine our own life at times, and one of the best times is when we turn the calendar page to enter into a brand-new time period of the exciting year of 2020. As you prepare to enter into this New Year of 2020, be open and receptive to new ideas and new inspiration from God. The Spirit of the Lord is with you to set your feet on a new path, to reveal a higher way to you. Let’s give thanks for having come to this place in time. Let us know that we are going to take giant steps in this New Year toward the attainment of our dreams. Life is for living, and we choose to really live in 2020! There is a strength in you that enables you to keep going forward in life. No matter how far you have come, you can go further with God’s ever-present help. You can find new avenues for service, new thoughts to share, and new ways to be loving and helpful. This is a New Year and a new time for you. It will be as new as you choose to make it. A new world is unfolding. In this New Year you are unlimited, for you know that God’s Spirit of good is working through you, in you, and for you. Your life is going to be blessed in 2020. There is a piece of poetry that I have kept to share with you as a spiritual blessing. It is called “Happy New Year,” written by Russell A. Kemp. I hope that the New Year finds you With at least one dream come true, And a better, clearer vision Of that good you hold in view. May the strength you’ve always longed for Fill your heart and mind to stay, And the light of inspiration Guide your thinking day by day.
