The time when we can pray together is sacred. And He said unto them, "Come ye apart and rest a while." So, you and I have come to this place, a resting place. We have come apart from the world of people and things, of concerns, and even ambition, to rest in the presence that we might receive the power. "Come ye apart and rest a while." Give your mind to the activity of God's Spirit. Give your heart to the love of God. Give your body to the healing Presence of God. Give your relationships to the wondrous harmony that knows no divisions and invites each and all of us to share in this great universal family of God. And he said unto them, "My peace I give unto you. My peace I leave it with you; not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled; be not afraid." Rest in the silence of prayer. . . We surrender to this almighty Power, to God’s Divine Presence, God’s innate Goodness that rests in each one of us, and is called forth through the activity of the Christ Spirit. Feel God’s healing Presence and that love power moving in your mind into your body, feeding and nourishing every cell. Remember, when Jesus Christ was tempted, He said to the tempter, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by the very word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.” Rest in the silence of prayer. . . There is another energy in our lives besides the outer things we seek. There is the spiritual energy of inner nourishment; an inward journey to the secret place of the most high. There in that resting place we are nourished. The love of God is poured out upon us. We are anointed with God’s love and the oil of kindness. We feel the blessing of that love. Something deep within us begins to respond to that still, small voice: Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you peace. Rest unto your souls. Rest in the silence of prayer. . . Begin now to move from the head to the heart. As God moves through you, you are picking up spiritual power and abilities. You are adjoining both wisdom and love in birthing a new you. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And Jesus the Christ said, "This is the light spoken of in the beginning that I dare claim I am the light of the world. And in His deep love, He speaks to each one of us. You are also this light. Accept the light. Let it become a light upon your path, and a lamp unto your feet. In this holy place, this place apart, you stand on holy ground. You behold the glory of God—the gift of God to yourself. Claim your Divine birthright. Claim that inheritance which has been yours from the beginning: health, wealth, peace, and happiness. Remember, it is God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. There is the willingness on the part of God, but you and I must accept the gift. Open your minds and hearts to receive that activity of God’s Spirit, ministering unto you now, bringing peace to your mind. Love fills your heart, wholeness fills your body, prosperity fills your affairs, and harmony fills all your relationships. Just let yourself move into that spiritual part of your life, that holy of holies. There, for just a moment, let God minister unto you in the quietness of prayer. . . (Silence) Something deep within you speaks and says, "Thank You God for answered prayer. Thank You, God, that Thou hast heard me and that Thou hearest me always. Thank You God for answered prayer.
