A lot of people think that Jesus was kidding when he called us equal children of God. Jesus knew the truth of His Divine identity, and told us of ours as well. So, let us be bold in claiming our spiritual identity. As we follow God, we will be able to give love and understanding to our world. Most of us claim our identity to what we see in the mirror. A human, judged by our own human mind as less-than-perfect. We see a brunette, a redhead, a blonde. We see body size and eye color. What cannot be seen is more important. You are a soul; a spiritual being living in human life. The spiritually mature seek to project their spirituality more so than their humanness. The beauty of spirituality can come through the outer face and form. We claim our spiritual identity through our daily actions, our second to second thoughts, and our words. Whether we are at work or at play, with friends or with strangers, we will be able to make a difference in our world when we follow God through our actions and our words. Every day, we have opportunities to express our spiritual identity. Led by Divine guidance, we welcome every opportunity to express love and understanding. May we each personify the Jesus Christ way of life in our individual lives. Many times, we can personify Jesus Christ by seeing the good, with all our faith, rather than focusing on the negative and the dark side of a challenge. This will reflect God’s light to others around us and uplift them. When we see evidence of adverse conditions in the world, we may find it difficult to believe that God’s power is at work. Even in the midst of circumstances that we can’t personally understand, we can affirm in positive prayer that God’s power is healing, strengthening, and preparing the way for our ultimate good. Regardless of appearances, we can always trust God to bring order to chaos, and peace where there seems to be disharmony. We accept our own part in the overall scheme by holding firmly to the truth of God. We hold to God’s truth for ourselves and others. Instead of focusing our attention on negative conditions, we reveal our spiritual identity to ourselves and to others by letting our thoughts be loving and reflective of our true nature. The good thoughts we sow will help us remain patient as we wait for God’s good to unfold. “And these are the ones sown on the good soil; they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit.” Mark 4:20 The soil is our own fertile mind. We must accept in our own minds the positive truth of God for ourselves and for others. When we allow these Divine ideas to dwell within our own thoughts, instead of worries and fears, then we are shining forth the true light of God. We have illuminated thinking, and our enlightenment lights up not only our own mind, but our path ahead of us, and it is reflective on others that we come in contact with. _____ THANK YOU!
