Often when we talk about being generous, we think in terms of money. But today I ask you to expand your concept of generosity. If you lift the limitations you may have set up on yourself, you always have plenty with which to be generous. You can be generous with words of praise and encouragement. You can be generous with your smile. You can be generous with your time. You can be generous with your friendship. You can be generous with your talents and skills. You can be generous with your prayer. You can be generous with your words of appreciation. You can be generous with your example of a faith filled; God directed life. You can be generous by listening to others. You can be generous by holding a positive attitude for others. You can be generous in your willingness to forgive. You can be generous in sharing your joy. You can be generous in laughing with others. You can be generous with loved ones, even those loved ones that you have held yourself back within the past. You can be generous in your courage. You can be generous in your positive leadership, for the definition of a leader is someone who takes people where they would not go by themselves. You can also be generous to yourself. We are often hardest on ourselves. Let us not let the small fingers of doubt and fear unravel our garment of faith. Let us hold generously to the steadfastness that is the security of faith in God. Each day we can give in generosity to ourselves by adding to and strengthening our own faith, for in so doing it will strengthen our resolve to be generous in our daily life with others. _____ THANK YOU! As I bless the seeds of my sowing, as I bless the creatures that love and serve us, so they automatically increase, multiply and express abundant health. In time of drought, prayer has produced rain; crops have been protected from blight. Unifying with the everlasting God life that breathes health and abundance through all things, I bless my land, fertilize it with God's truth and love and enjoy the profusion of Divine Providence. This land is God's land. I see everything in it and on it as the everlasting expression of God's life and love. No plague shall come to my crops, or livestock, for God's life is in the midst of them. The soil is fertile with energy and vitality. God has given me "dominion over the cattle and over all the earth." With Divine understanding I bless my fields, my storehouse, and all that I set my hand unto shall prosper and be increased by God's mighty power. This is the land which the Lord my God has given to me. As in Heaven, so on this earth, God is omnipotent, omnipresent, in all, through all, and overall for her rich seedtime and harvest.
