This is the doctrine of personal responsibility. In our free will we must make the decision not to waiver in our absolute faith in God's good. We must have FIRM BELIEF IN God. We talk a great deal on Positive Daily Inspiration about overcoming problems, working through them, learning from them, and adjusting to those we cannot change. This is good because it is a constructive spiritual attitude to hold in mind when we are experiencing problems. Our true purpose is not just to overcome problems but to come to a place where we are so aware of who and what we are, and our connection to God, that our lives are no longer fraught with what we call problems, and difficulties. When we live in constant awareness of God the spiritual reigns supreme and our lives are filled with peace, love and joy. We don’t just believe in God, we have a FIRM BELIEF IN GOD that cannot be moved and cannot be shaken. So many people go through life with one foot on the gas and one put on the brake. When we know that God goes ahead of us preparing our way for success, and God guides us continually to that success, we then relax and enjoy the ride. In our Bible in James 4:7, 8 it states, “Submit yourselves therefore to God…And God will draw nearer to you.” If our lives are not going the way that we would like them too, it could be that we are trying to force an outcome that may not be the best one for us. So rather than despair because things are not going right, we take a moment to stop and turn the situation over to God. We surrender our own will and let God’s will be done. Surrendering to God is NOT giving up. It is the acceptance of God's good! Rather, it is letting Divine order takeover and recognizing that God’s will is being done. By surrendering our lives to God we are placing your trust in the one power in the universe, knowing that we are surrendering our will to the greater will of God. Perhaps it would be good to have an imaginary badge to flash every time a criminal worry thought tries to rob you. By inviting God to be an active participant in our lives, we have backup – we are letting God be God in your life. Surrendering to God is a Divine plan in living a fulfilling and happy life. God knows the way through our problems. God knows the solutions and the way. We needn’t struggle so much but rather have a FIRM BELIEF IN the power of God to bring perfect answers to every problem.
