It dissolves the poisonous life eating hate, and creates an inner atmosphere of peace and wellness. A successful person in life is a good forgiver. Forgiveness enhances the happiness and fulfillment of your life. On this Wednesday why not choose to forgive the people for whom you have held any unforgiveness. Forgiveness releases all animosity and brings an open and clear mind to whatever you are experiencing now. It does no good to rehash unforgiving thoughts over, and over again. It is like daily drinking a poison and hoping that the other person will be harmed. Holding the poison in only harms you, it is self-abuse. Your life must not be defined by the bad things that have happened to you. You must decide to take the reins of your life and move on, not hampered, not blocked by the past. Forgiveness assists you in making the right choices and prompts loving interaction between yourself and others. Without worry or doubt to cloud your mind, you are able to experience a spiritual inner peace. Because your attitude of forgiveness is constructed of harmonious thoughts, your day proceeds in Divine order. Forgiveness allows you to come out of the fog and enjoy the clear bright light of a God given day. Anytime that you cannot stop thinking about what someone else did to you, realize they still hold ALL the power over you. You are a slave. When you forgive, you reclaim your own power. In Psalms 51:10 our Bible states “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” Three simple words can change your life - “I forgive you.” “I forgive you” can be the hardest words to say to another. However, every time you think or speak these words, you nurture an accepting, forgiving nature anew. In time, these three simple words will come effortlessly. God equips you to forgive because God is love. If others have said or done something that has hurt your feelings, you forget that. Even though you know in your mind that what other people say or think about you may not be true, sometimes the words can still hurt. During those times, you trust in God, in God’s love, and you release pain into God’s care and keeping. You forgive completely and wholeheartedly because you have faith that God is constantly sustaining you. You draw strength from this faith and have the peace of mind to be able to forgive things from the past, in the present, and in the future. Forgiveness allows God’s truth to have a free reign in your life. Unforgiveness does not think clearly; it will rationalize its reason for existing in an irrational way. Only God’s love thinks clearly through you. You can and do forgive yourself for any perceived shortcomings. Who are you not to treat yourself as God would treat you? God loves you. You are now aware of better alternatives than the poisonous self-inflicted wounds of unforgiveness. You are going to be equipped with kinder and wiser responses; they will be your evidence of your growing ability to forgive yourself and others. The love of God expresses itself in your life and relationships as caring thoughts, words, and deeds. All inharmony is dissolved in the presence of God’s love. As you focus your attention and activity on God’s love, your relationships with family, friends, and coworkers are enhanced. You are comfortable and secure in the company of others, for you are naturally an expression of God’s love and harmony. Harmony results as God’s love is demonstrated by you and those with whom you associate. Loving actions help to establish and maintain rewarding associations. Loving and friendly relationships are achieved when God’s love and harmony are activated. You choose to be thoughtful of others, in mind and in action – and you expect the same in return.
