August 9, 2019 www.PositiveChristianity.org presents Positive Daily Inspiration THE SPIRITUAL BIG THREE August 9, 2019 www.PositiveChristianity.org for the 20th year presents Positive Daily Inspiration The Spiritual Big Three The big three is talked about in one of the most popular verses in the Bible, "Faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 I once had someone say to me, "I wish spirituality was as simple as ABC, or 1,2,3." Spirituality is, if you follow the big three. The big three will never let you down. It is a biblical Trinity of how to live life. FAITH is the first part of the big three. If you ever feel up against a wall because of an unwanted situation in your life, remember that there is a power within you that is mightier than any barrier confronting you. Your faith in God connects to this almighty power. God's enabling power, expressed through you fortifies you. You are neither frustrated nor held back by circumstances. If you are misjudged, you can still try to understand the feelings of others. With God's help you do the things that are fair, right, and good so that harmony and right conditions may be restored quickly. When you have faith in something bigger than conditions and circumstances, you have power. God is bigger than your problems, but to know that on a daily basis, you must use your faith. In Psalms 19:7, 9, the Bible states, "The law of the Lord is perfect...the ordinances of the Lord are true." Faith connects you to perfect outcomes! _____ HOPE is the second part of the big three. "Rejoice in your hope... be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12 Love may be the greatest, but this does not relegate HOPE to a lowly position. It has been said, "Where there is life - there is hope." Let us reverse this idea and affirm in positive prayer, "Where there is hope - there is life." Hope is the evidence of the underlying flame of God's gift of life that lives within us and yearns for life. God never gives up on us, for we are God's creation. God knows that we will never fail as we let hope dissolve disappointment. Hope is misplaced when it is placed in conditions, events, or things. Hope is evidence of the Spirit of God working with us, stirring, moving, urging us to grow in faith and love. The hope of God is eternal, and we are aligned to the truth of God’s renewing light surging through us now. _____ LOVE, the greatest of them all. God is love, to truly follow God in our individual lives, we must strive to emulate this quality of expression and feeling. It is the ointment that bonds the universe together in perfect harmony. It is a God-given power, the greatest gift given by God. Jesus said, “God is love.” You abide in a constant flow of God's love. There is never a lack of love in God. All love is from God. There is love to fill every need known to the human heart. If you have any fear, let God's love fill your mind and heart until the fear is completely gone. Think of the goodness of God who provides so abundantly for all of God's creation. Let the wonder of it fill your imagination. Have faith in God's love and hope in God's willingness to provide for your every need. Give thanks for the touch of God; it is ALL you need to start the flow of love in and through your life. Open the door of your mind and heart to the riches of Spirit already prepared for you. Expect love, faith and hope to be a part of the successful recipe of your daily life, and give thanks for it. You abide in a constant flow of God's love, hope and faith circulating in and through your life. This is your normal state as a child of God.
