Colossians 2:5 Diversity makes life rich – embrace people that are not exactly like you. Collectively, a forest of trees creates a full panorama of beauty, a harmonious whole. Thank God each leaf is different. This same harmonious coexistence is true for all of humanity as well. We are a diverse and complex composite of textures and tones, believes and opinions, experiences and skills. But we each complement each other when we live in harmony and love. The people within a family are often quite different, and this can be a positive. While working and living together, one person’s calmness and another person’s eagerness blend together to create a cohesive team. As the family of God, let us live according to a Divine plan of harmony and order. We each contribute something unique to up beautiful harmonious whole. The question sometimes arises, why do I have a variety of friends who all are so different in character? How is it possible that I can get along with them all? I think that each one helps to bring out a “different" part of me. With one of them I am polite. With another I joke…I can sit down and talk about serious matters with one. With another I laugh a lot. I listen to one friend's problems.…then I listen to another one's advice for me. People around us are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. When completed, they form a treasure box. A treasure of friends! Real Age doctors tell us that diverse friends are good for our health. Dr. Oz calls them Vitamin F (for Friends) and counts the benefits of friends as essential to our well-being. Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of depression and terminal strokes. This is the time, this is the day, this is the week, and this is the moment that you decide to dedicate yourself to living in complete harmony with your world and everyone in it. You are one in spirit with God and one in spirit with all people. You are one with your environment and you are one with your world. You no longer fight against the world or the people in it, you are one and in harmony. You are free from all stress, strain, and concern. You are at peace with yourself and with those around you. You have lived your whole life to get to this point of maturity. You have gone beyond dependence, you have gone beyond independence and you are discovering the joys of the interdependence. Every day you consciously make the decision to be in harmony with everyone and everything. Every morning you send loving and harmonious thoughts to every corner of the world. Whenever you think of the nation or an area where there is concern or confusion, the word “harmony” resounds throughout your being. Like a clear tone of a bell, waves of harmony go forth from you to bless people and nations, to heal any discord. Waves of harmony go out from you in your home and in your workplace. People will feel the effects of harmony in the environment in which they live. A Divine order will surround your life and the lives that surround you. Harmony is the unfailing, constant provision of God's love for all. God's harmony is everywhere present. If we do not see harmony in some circumstance, it may be that our erroneous beliefs are keeping us from seeing the harmony that is inherent in all. Once we adjust our thinking through our positive focus, we will find that we are more in tune with the underlying reality of God's harmony. Harmony will be reflected in every area of your life as you dedicate yourself to it and its daily manifestation.
