God loves a cheerful giver. What do you give to other people? Do you give cheerfulness, or do you project a downcast attitude. Decide today to be a cheerful giver. This Friday you decide to be a cheerful, happy person. We have all known people whose very presence conveys cheerfulness. They may enter a room without speaking a word, yet the outpouring of their good spirits is so powerful that everyone present feels gladdened and uplifted. This is because they are centered in God's love and joy. You can be a cheerful person also, who unfailingly carries the power to lift and brighten the atmosphere around you. Your cheerfulness blesses your life and the lives of all those that you touch. Your good will lighten every burden and instill you with faith, courage, and confidence. You can cultivate cheerfulness so that it becomes a lasting positive habit. The power to be the kind of person you want to be lies within you. You live your life this week as a cheerful person giving to others that uplifting light. You become not only a blessing to others, but a constant blessing to yourself. 1 Peter 3:9 states, "BLESS, for to THIS you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing." When you meet someone that is down, you project a loving faith-filled attitude this week. Your cheerfulness not only encourages you; it also shows you how you can encourage others. You have a loving, faith-filled attitude as you reach out to give to others in this way. You send your love and blessings to each of them, and you stand with them in faith. You have a cheerful attitude in prayer, because you know that God is at work in others' lives. Faith causes you to be cheerful, for you know that you're connected to something bigger than your challenges. There may be matters large and small that sometimes cause you to feel concern and that can build into an ongoing stress and worry – if you let them. You can break any negative cycle as you release concern, begin to pray, let the peace of Christ fill your mind and heart – and begin to see the positive side of the situation. You hold in mind that Jesus overcame the tribulations of the world. You open yourself to the same overcoming power as you invite the Spirit of God to work through you bringing forth good in everyone and everything. Alert and receptive to Divine guidance, you think clearly, and you begin to smile again. No longer do everyday happenings attack your ability to be cheerful. With a clear mind and a happy heart, you are truly serene and cheerful about this day, and the prospects in your future. John 16:33 Jesus states, "I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you may have tribulation; but be of GOOD CHEER, I have overcome the world.” You let God fill you with peace, and you are able to believe in God’s good and claim it. You are able to give to your world in good cheer.
