To be patient is the right way to hold actively to your faith in God, and you are always willing and ready to do your part in bringing forth good into your world, moving forward lovingly. You move forward in peace because you know that God is with you and going with you toward your goals. Growth and unfoldment in all phases of life take place in an orderly way. Patience and faith are Divine faculties given to you as a child of God. You can call upon these faculties and use them. You have the patience and faith to keep your goals in sight and to hold on to as you work toward the fulfillment of your dreams. Whether you are seeking understanding, healing, prosperity, or harmony in your life, you can know that progress towards this goal is taking place. You can succeed through the power and the direction of God. As you call on God, peace and patience will be yours as you unfold your divine potential. You may think that it takes a stretch of the imagination to picture yourself as always unruffled, serene, loving and harmonious. How you think of yourself is most important. If you’ve ever thought of yourself as being easily upset, nervous, tending to fly off the handle, begin to build a different concept. The power of positive prayer lies in your realization and acceptance of it. A positive prayer always states that which is true of you spiritually. In your spiritual self, you are potentially perfect as a child of God. As you lift your thoughts and see yourself as God sees you, you are inspired to express your highest spiritual nature. “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39 Jesus Christ issued this command to the wind and the waves when His disciples became alarmed and fearful because of the stormy sea. Immediately “the wind ceased, and there was great calm.” How very great must have been Jesus’ realization of His mastery over all circumstances. You, too, can take command of your life and circumstances of your life. Through the power of God with you, and within you, you can assume leadership over your life and give the directive of peace and serenity to fearful thoughts within you and the troubling conditions about you. This week take command of your life. Do this through prayer and perseverance, and through your faith in God and in yourself. No matter what the wind or wave or how high they seem, your directive of “Peace! Be still!” issued as a child of God, will be obeyed.
