Even though you do not agree with others, you can respect their right to form and state their own opinions. More than that, you can bless them in prayer. Problems arise when people try to impose their own will, to demand or to expect others to think or act according to what they think is right. Human relationships, to be happy and harmonious, must be based on mutual respect for one another and on and understanding of the right of each individual to follow their inner guidance from God. Each soul's path is as different as our fingerprints are different. Sometimes, despite our best efforts to be understanding, we find it difficult to get along with someone. This is when we let the love of God take over. You can open your heart to God's great love and surround the person and the situation with God's love. God's love dissolves disharmony casts out fear and restores harmony to our relationships. The other person may never change to become the person you feel they should be, but through the strength and love of God, you will, in time, be at peace with them. If we have held something against another for a long time, this is a spiritual time to release it. Our willingness to forgive can be a spiritual turning point toward a better life. When we are forgiving, we are giving understanding, acceptance, and love from the spirit of God with us, every moment of every day. As we forgive others, we release all thoughts and feelings of resentment and anger. As the spirit of God moves through us, cleansing us, we become healthier, as well as more loving and accepting of others. God's spirit helps you to forgive. As you forgive others, you spiritually open the way to a better life-- a life that is moving forward in experiencing and expressing the goodness of God. POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER: Dear God, I pray that I can have a new, God-given communication that will help me in relating to the people in my life in a more positive way. I pray that I uplift others and that people feel good in my presence. I pray that I am a light of God's love. I pray that I am strong enough in You, that I seek not to change others to my point of view, but to bless them where they are. I pray that I am a positive influence in others' lives. I pray that I am given the gift of Divine understanding. May I seek to understand and may I demonstrate that understanding in my day-to-day interactions with others. I pray that I have the power to forgive and to release seeming wrongs of the past. I walk forward into a new day of positive, human relations in my life.
