God is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken." Psalm 62:5,6 Whatever your goal, you persist with patience, knowing that God's good is everywhere present. God can help you obtain what you seek. Many, this week, in preparation for Valentine's Day, are choosing to make a loving way of life their goal. You persist with patience and faith. You do not give up, but you do let go. When things seem dark, or do not seem to be going the way you think they should, you relax; you know that God's perfect will is being done. You persist in love, you persist in prayer, you persist in faith, and you wait in patience. Just as a seed planted cannot be dug up every day, you realize that something may be happening beneath the surface that you cannot see with your physical eyes. You are one with God; therefore, you are one with all the good in the universe. You do not stand in the way of your good by doubting. You do not stand in the way of your good by fearing. You do not stand in the way of your good by being impatient or overanxious. You rest in the belief that there is a perfect outcome and that with God's help, you will find it. You persist in your belief that it is God's will that you be loving, and loved. You persist towards the happy and fulfilled life that is God's choice for you. Physical light is a form of energy but spiritual light is the very essence of all manifestation. Spiritual light is love. It cannot be seen, as much as it is felt. All darkness, if we persevere in loving light, disappears in the light of love. Spiritual light is not unlike sunlight; we need to open the heavy curtains at our windows to let it shine into our homes. It is not unlike the light of an electric light bulb; we need to make the proper connections for the flow and transformation of electricity so that we may see the light. Similarly, we need to contact God, the source of all love, if we want to see things and persons and situations as they really are. Turning to the spiritual light in God is the first step towards the good life. Let us see first what we want to accomplish, and see it in God's light, for if we are looking to outer appearances only, we cannot see the reality of God's kingdom. God's kingdom can be made manifest in your day-to-day life by rising above animal instincts fighting for the scraps of affection and attention; and instead, choose to feed others by being the channel of God's perfect love. In our Bible, in Luke 11:36, Jesus says, "If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright." When the light of love is turned on in every thought inside of your mind, it illuminates your whole body and you shine to others, being a virtual magnet to attract loving relationships.
